Take Back Our Town Campaign begins!

The Gardiner GOP is proud to initiate the Take Back Our Town campaign designed to oust all of the current Democratic administration out of office (well, at least the ones up for election!), and to take back control of our town board and what is happening in our town. From zoning to budgets, from town hall to rail trails, we've had enough of the shenanagins going on and plan to change it. In the spirit of this change, we've designed and printed "Take Back Our Town" bumper stickers that will look attractive as you park outside town hall, or they can be put on a sign for your front lawn! The best part is that they are FREE! all of the GOP committee members have bumper stickers, or you can go to our "contact us" page and send us an E mail. We'll even deliver! Be the envy of your neighbors, and a thorn in the side to your favorite Democrat to hate!

Big Bond Money Pours into Gardiner From Out of Town

The Gardiner Bond Campaign was financed with big bucks from out-of-town Environmental groups, in order to advance their agendas at our expense. Never mind that we are are the ones that have to pay the price, in more ways than one. Here's an informative article from Paul Brooks at the Times Herald Record.

Supervisor Zatz Allows Historic Outhouse to be Trashed

MaryBeth Majestic, who is active on the Gardiner Historic Society and who has had much involvement in keeping the historic integrity of the renovated School House wasn't very pleased with Supervisor Zatz at the September 13 Town Board Meeting. It seems that the Supervisor supervised the trashing, into the construction waste container, of the historic school "outhouse"...without consulting any of the Gardiner Historic Society members. Ms. Majestic was clearly more than annoyed, and said that the society had plans to work with the Jehovah Witness' who were going to retore the outhouse at no cost to the town. Zatz tried to rationalize his actions by saying that the outhouse was too far in dissrepair to salvage, and Ms. Majestic countered that the schoolhouse had also once been considered too far gone, but that it was in use today. What was the supervisor thinking when he knowingly trashed a piece of Gardiner's history?
